First to relieve boredom while in the air (and to help keep in touch with family when in Australia) I've purchased a Nokia N800...this amazing little handheld not only provides wi-fi connectivity to the Internet but is also capable of playing music and videos and has a ton of open source software available for it.I already know that I have noooo problem falling asleep on planes...as soon as the wheels start moving I normally apologize to the people on either side of me and fall into a deep sleep until we finally land...well, I'll wake every once and a while just to check if I've created any drool puddles. :-)
But what if I do want to wake up...I really don't want an alarm clock going off and bothering the people around me. For that, I will be relying on my "shake awake" alarm clock. I'll also be using it in the hostels that I'll be staying in.
So, that's pretty much it on the gadget side...for the rest I'll be following some of the wisdom I've found on the Internet, including:
- Be comfortable
- Stretch often (5 Exercises To De-stress On Long Flights)
- Keep hydrated

Ken, all the best and bon voyage for your trip! You're an inspiration! :o) Can't wait to hear about it and see your pics!
Ken, hope you have a blast down under.
Cool toys!! I am looking forward to the billion photos you will take. See if you can find yourself a little Aussie girl while you are there...if not...find one for me!!
You're quite prepared to say the least!! The flight isn't as bad as you think it would be...as long as you don't have a problem sleeping on the plane..it's all good!!
